Odisha School Teacher Education qualification

Qualification for TGT Arts 

A Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Commerce or a Shastri (Sanskrit) degree with two school subjects from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC Candidates), along with a BEd (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University

or

A four-year integrated BA, B.Ed from a NCTE recognized institution with two school subjects such as English, Odia, Sanskrit, Hindi, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Indian Geography, and Indian Polity offered as Honors/Elective/Optional Subjects

And

Candidates should have cleared the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET)

Education Qualification for TGT Science PCM

A Bachelor’s Degree in Science (PCM) from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC Candidates), along with a BEd (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated with a recognized University

Or

Four year integrated B.A, B.Ed from a NCTE recognized institution with two school subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as elective/ Optional/ Honours/ Pass Subject.

And

Candidates should have cleared the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET)

Qualification for TGT Science CBZ

A Bachelor’s Degree in Science (CBZ) from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC Candidates), along with a BEd (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated with a recognized University

Or

Four year integrated B.A, B.Ed from a NCTE recognized institution with two school subjects like Botany, Chemistry, Zoology as elective/ Optional/ Honours/ Pass Subject

And

Candidates should have cleared the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET)

Qualification for Sanskriti Teacher

Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the elective/ optional/ Hons/ pass subject from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC Candidates) and M.A in Sanskrit with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/ Institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University and Candidates should have cleared the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET)

Qualification for Hindi Teacher 

Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi as one of the optional or Honours subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC Candidates) M.A in Hindi with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC Candidates). and Candidates should have cleared the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET)

Qualification for Physical Education Teacher

Completed 10+2 or its equivalent exam with at least 50% overall marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) and have C.P. Ed/B.P. Ed/M.P. Ed from a recognized board/university and Candidates should have cleared the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET)

Qualification for Trible Language Teacher

Candidate must passed 10+2 in any stream or Equivalent and must have passed Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET)

Qualification For Sevak & Sevika Post

Completion of Higher Secondary (+2) in any field or its equivalent examination with CT/DIET Training and must have passed Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET)
