CSIR SO & ASO Exam Pattern 2024: Exam pattern of CSIR 2024

1st– Paper III (Descriptive paper) for Section officer and Assistant section officer

Total marks 150 and time is 2 hour date 07 July 2024 reporting time 8:30 am, optional language hindi and english will be.

Q1- Essay writing ( to attempt 1 topic out of 3)

  • Topic- based on general value based on life value
  • word limit- 500-600 words
  • marks- 50 marks

Q2- Essay writing ( to attempt 1 topic out of 3)

  • Topic- based on analysis, factual- based, research oriented modern concept
  • word limit- 500-600 words
  • marks- 50 marks

Q3- Precise writing (01 question)

  • Topic- would be one passage of 600 words
  • word limit- need to reduce it to one third provide passage
  • marks- 30 marks

Q4- letter/application writing ( 1 question )

  • Topic- letter or application
  • word limit-200-250
  • marks- 20 marks

2nd– Assistant section Officer (Computer proficiency test- CPT)

Total marks 100 and time is 1 hour date 07 july 2024 reporting time 1:30 pm

Q1- Microsoft word:

  • Topic- typing a passage of 200-250 words
  • marks- 40 marks

Q1- Microsoft excel:

  • Topic- preparation of a spreadsheet and related exercise, which required in normal days
  • marks- 30 marks

Q1- Microsoft PowerPoint:

  • Topic- preparation of power point presentation related exercise, which required in normal days
  • marks- 30 marks
